Narrative:

I was working D2 position, R3 position had numerous aircraft on frequency. During this period relief was in progress of R3. I delayed coordination of air carrier X transfer information to ZOA until R3 could obtain the pilot's requested altitude. I then proceeded with coordination with inbound information to the airports. I then proceeded to update and review flight progress strips and observed air carrier X strip circled in red indicating transfer was completed with ZOA. ZOA supervisor called and advised that they never received transfer on air carrier X. We pulled the strip and it indicated transfer was completed by being circled in red. Review of tapes indicated transfer was not accomplished. No separation violation existed. I believe what may have happened relieving oncoming controller on R3 position after acquiring altitude of air carrier X circled altitude in red for pilot's requested altitude.

Title: DATA CTLR FAILED TO COORDINATE AN OCEANIC FLT WITH NEXT CENTER. ACFT ENTERED ZOA AIRSPACE WITHOUT COORD. OPERATIONAL DEVIATION.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING D2 POSITION, R3 POSITION HAD NUMEROUS ACFT ON FREQ. DURING THIS PERIOD RELIEF WAS IN PROGRESS OF R3. I DELAYED COORD OF ACR X TRANSFER INFO TO ZOA UNTIL R3 COULD OBTAIN THE PLT'S REQUESTED ALT. I THEN PROCEEDED WITH COORD WITH INBND INFO TO THE ARPTS. I THEN PROCEEDED TO UPDATE AND REVIEW FLT PROGRESS STRIPS AND OBSERVED ACR X STRIP CIRCLED IN RED INDICATING TRANSFER WAS COMPLETED WITH ZOA. ZOA SUPVR CALLED AND ADVISED THAT THEY NEVER RECEIVED TRANSFER ON ACR X. WE PULLED THE STRIP AND IT INDICATED TRANSFER WAS COMPLETED BY BEING CIRCLED IN RED. REVIEW OF TAPES INDICATED TRANSFER WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED. NO SEPARATION VIOLATION EXISTED. I BELIEVE WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED RELIEVING ONCOMING CTLR ON R3 POSITION AFTER ACQUIRING ALT OF ACR X CIRCLED ALT IN RED FOR PLT'S REQUESTED ALT.
