Narrative:
Prior to taxiing to 08L at phx, current ATIS reported winds 110 at 04 KTS and temperature of 103 degree F, which put us at our aircraft limit weight. Prior to receiving takeoff clearance, I requested current winds and temperature from tower. They were reported 170 at 10 and temperature 105 degree F. I estimated that we were approximately 2000 pounds over the aircraft limit weight according to our load and tps. The captain acknowledged my concern but elected to make the takeoff anyway. We were assigned the peso 4 SID for departure. Although we complied with the altitudes on the SID, ATC did query our altitude while climbing. A climb gradient of 350 FPM was required. The captain drifted slightly north of course, while climbing, prior to the 1 mi fix, to maintain a visual on parallel traffic departing 08R. This was the last leg of a 3-DAY trip. We had been delayed an hour on the ground in phx due to WX and flow control in ord. I believe 'get homeitis' was a contributing factor in the captain's decision to takeoff over aircraft limit weight.

Title: CAPT OF ACR LGT MAKES OVERWEIGHT TKOF DESPITE FO INFORMING HIM THAT TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS MADE THEM ILLEGAL.
Narrative: PRIOR TO TAXIING TO 08L AT PHX, CURRENT ATIS REPORTED WINDS 110 AT 04 KTS AND TEMPERATURE OF 103 DEG F, WHICH PUT US AT OUR ACFT LIMIT WEIGHT. PRIOR TO RECEIVING TKOF CLRNC, I REQUESTED CURRENT WINDS AND TEMPERATURE FROM TWR. THEY WERE REPORTED 170 AT 10 AND TEMPERATURE 105 DEG F. I ESTIMATED THAT WE WERE APPROX 2000 LBS OVER THE ACFT LIMIT WEIGHT ACCORDING TO OUR LOAD AND TPS. THE CAPT ACKNOWLEDGED MY CONCERN BUT ELECTED TO MAKE THE TKOF ANYWAY. WE WERE ASSIGNED THE PESO 4 SID FOR DEP. ALTHOUGH WE COMPLIED WITH THE ALTS ON THE SID, ATC DID QUERY OUR ALT WHILE CLIMBING. A CLIMB GRADIENT OF 350 FPM WAS REQUIRED. THE CAPT DRIFTED SLIGHTLY NORTH OF COURSE, WHILE CLIMBING, PRIOR TO THE 1 MI FIX, TO MAINTAIN A VISUAL ON PARALLEL TFC DEPARTING 08R. THIS WAS THE LAST LEG OF A 3-DAY TRIP. WE HAD BEEN DELAYED AN HOUR ON THE GND IN PHX DUE TO WX AND FLOW CONTROL IN ORD. I BELIEVE 'GET HOMEITIS' WAS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IN THE CAPT'S DECISION TO TKOF OVER ACFT LIMIT WEIGHT.
