Narrative:
Air carrier X was descended to FL350, then was turned 15 degrees left and cleared to FL290 to comply with the ZID and ZTL LOA for control arrs. Air carrier Y was turned 10 degrees left for traffic to stay behind air carrier X. Air carrier X was told to expedite through FL310. Additional turns were issued to both aircraft to maintain sep. The turns were too late to establish latitude sep when vertical was lost.
