Narrative:
While starting a field standby I reviewed a note about a fom update. I pulled out my ipad to see that it was updated only to find that I had no company app folder. It had been removed from my ipad without my knowledge. That is I had no flight manuals; foms; etc. I asked somebody in the flight office and they said 'yes; hundreds of pilots have had that happen.' that would have been nice to know before I climbed into the cockpit.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A pilot attempted to update his iPad because of an FOM change and discovered that all Company material and manuals had been deleted from the APP folder. Others reported the loss also.
