Narrative:
In cruise flight 140 miles after departing; the #1 propeller oil pressure began to decrease. We complied with the QRH (quick reference handbook) and monitored oil pressure until oil pressure declined requiring shutdown action. ZZZZ airport was closest to us with emergency services and I requested deviation there and airport emergency services were alerted. Descent; approach and landing were normal and emergency services meet the aircraft at the local FBO facility. Passengers were transferred to a commercial flight and enroute to destination within hours of landing. Company flew out needed parts and mechanic. Repairs were made that same day and aircraft was returned to service after repairs were accomplished.
