Narrative:
During landing rollout/taxi off, I noticed the illumination of the master fire warning. I asked if the first officer saw an engine warning on and he replied no. I asked if it was the APU fire warning and he replied yes. We were just exiting the runway as I told the first officer to discharge the APU fire bottle which he did. The warning went out for a moment and then came back on again. I stopped the aircraft and told the tower of our problem and to send the crash fire rescue equipment equipment. I then told the F/a to evacuate the aircraft as we had an APU fire indication. The first officer and I completed the shutdown procedure and I asked the first officer to proceed outside to shepherd our passenger safely away from the aircraft. I followed the F/a off the aircraft after all passenger were evacuated. After inspection by maintenance it was determined no fire occurred. At this time we don't know the cause for the false warning. I feel the probability of injuries if there had been an actual fire would have been small to nil, due to the F/a's quick evacuate/evacuation (it took 30 seconds after my command) and first officer's assistance. Also local crash fire rescue equipment was on the scene within 1 min.

Title: ACR MDT APU FIRE WARNING AFTER LNDG. ACFT EVACUATED. POSTFLT INSPECTION REVEALED FALSE WARNING.
Narrative: DURING LNDG ROLLOUT/TAXI OFF, I NOTICED THE ILLUMINATION OF THE MASTER FIRE WARNING. I ASKED IF THE F/O SAW AN ENGINE WARNING ON AND HE REPLIED NO. I ASKED IF IT WAS THE APU FIRE WARNING AND HE REPLIED YES. WE WERE JUST EXITING THE RWY AS I TOLD THE F/O TO DISCHARGE THE APU FIRE BOTTLE WHICH HE DID. THE WARNING WENT OUT FOR A MOMENT AND THEN CAME BACK ON AGAIN. I STOPPED THE ACFT AND TOLD THE TWR OF OUR PROBLEM AND TO SEND THE CFR EQUIPMENT. I THEN TOLD THE F/A TO EVACUATE THE ACFT AS WE HAD AN APU FIRE INDICATION. THE F/O AND I COMPLETED THE SHUTDOWN PROC AND I ASKED THE F/O TO PROCEED OUTSIDE TO SHEPHERD OUR PAX SAFELY AWAY FROM THE ACFT. I FOLLOWED THE F/A OFF THE ACFT AFTER ALL PAX WERE EVACUATED. AFTER INSPECTION BY MAINT IT WAS DETERMINED NO FIRE OCCURRED. AT THIS TIME WE DON'T KNOW THE CAUSE FOR THE FALSE WARNING. I FEEL THE PROBABILITY OF INJURIES IF THERE HAD BEEN AN ACTUAL FIRE WOULD HAVE BEEN SMALL TO NIL, DUE TO THE F/A'S QUICK EVAC (IT TOOK 30 SECONDS AFTER MY COMMAND) AND F/O'S ASSISTANCE. ALSO LOCAL CFR WAS ON THE SCENE WITHIN 1 MIN.
