Narrative:

While en route I called flight watch 2 times to get current WX at kirksville and it was still VFR. When I entered the control zone I simultaneously encountered a heavier rain shower which reduced the visibility to a reported 2 mi, but by the time I noticed the rotating beacon was on, I was already in the control zone with the runway in sight. I landed without incident.
