Narrative:
Clearance was issued prior to pushback to maintain 17000' MSL along with our routing V102 gth direct sps heavn 3 arrival to dallas love field. We took off on runway 8 at lubbock and cleared on course. Approaching 10000' MSL, traffic was called by departure control at 9 O'clock (5 mi), sebnd, 10500' descending to 10000'. We had the MTR in sight and he passed about 3-4 mi behind us. We took no evasive action. The controller asked what altitude we had been cleared to. We told him 17000'. He handed us off to ft worth ARTCC and nothing else was said.

Narrative: CLRNC WAS ISSUED PRIOR TO PUSHBACK TO MAINTAIN 17000' MSL ALONG WITH OUR ROUTING V102 GTH DIRECT SPS HEAVN 3 ARR TO DALLAS LOVE FIELD. WE TOOK OFF ON RWY 8 AT LUBBOCK AND CLRED ON COURSE. APCHING 10000' MSL, TFC WAS CALLED BY DEP CTL AT 9 O'CLOCK (5 MI), SEBND, 10500' DSNDING TO 10000'. WE HAD THE MTR IN SIGHT AND HE PASSED ABOUT 3-4 MI BEHIND US. WE TOOK NO EVASIVE ACTION. THE CTLR ASKED WHAT ALT WE HAD BEEN CLRED TO. WE TOLD HIM 17000'. HE HANDED US OFF TO FT WORTH ARTCC AND NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID.
