Narrative:

Air carrier X, an large transport en route to sfo, was cleared to FL280 by ZID, handed off to ZKC sector 91 (super hi above FL350), but was switched to ZKC sector 12 (24O to 330) without a pointout or coordination. Air carrier X called me at sector 12 reporting at FL280. I was working combined sectors, very busy with heavy traffic. Could not identify air carrier X on fast call, very busy! Air carrier X called again. This time I located a mode C intruder in north part of sector, requested data block, identification, aircraft, coordinated climb with adjacent sectors and cleared air carrier X to climb to FL330. I verified that sector 91 had radar and switched air carrier X to their frequency. Did not report system deviation to management.

Narrative: ACR X, AN LGT ENRTE TO SFO, WAS CLRED TO FL280 BY ZID, HANDED OFF TO ZKC SECTOR 91 (SUPER HI ABOVE FL350), BUT WAS SWITCHED TO ZKC SECTOR 12 (24O TO 330) WITHOUT A POINTOUT OR COORD. ACR X CALLED ME AT SECTOR 12 REPORTING AT FL280. I WAS WORKING COMBINED SECTORS, VERY BUSY WITH HEAVY TFC. COULD NOT IDENTIFY ACR X ON FAST CALL, VERY BUSY! ACR X CALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME I LOCATED A MODE C INTRUDER IN NORTH PART OF SECTOR, REQUESTED DATA BLOCK, ID, ACFT, COORDINATED CLIMB WITH ADJACENT SECTORS AND CLRED ACR X TO CLIMB TO FL330. I VERIFIED THAT SECTOR 91 HAD RADAR AND SWITCHED ACR X TO THEIR FREQ. DID NOT REPORT SYSTEM DEVIATION TO MGMNT.
