Narrative:

Too many xx's. Flight xx cleared to land visual to runway 32 on base. Company called to say now go to gate xx. Tower notified us 2 MTR on 360 overhead to runway xx. First officer flying thought we were cleared to land on xx. Aircraft was in close and in a right turn to line up on runway 32. With sight lines the left seat pilot cannot see airport environment. We landed on runway xxl. The MTR went around. They were practicing landing anyway. I apologized to tower and asked him to do so to MTR pilots.

Narrative: TOO MANY XX'S. FLT XX CLRED TO LAND VISUAL TO RWY 32 ON BASE. COMPANY CALLED TO SAY NOW GO TO GATE XX. TWR NOTIFIED US 2 MTR ON 360 OVERHEAD TO RWY XX. F/O FLYING THOUGHT WE WERE CLRED TO LAND ON XX. ACFT WAS IN CLOSE AND IN A RIGHT TURN TO LINE UP ON RWY 32. WITH SIGHT LINES THE LEFT SEAT PLT CANNOT SEE ARPT ENVIRONMENT. WE LANDED ON RWY XXL. THE MTR WENT AROUND. THEY WERE PRACTICING LNDG ANYWAY. I APOLOGIZED TO TWR AND ASKED HIM TO DO SO TO MTR PLTS.
