Narrative:
In the vicinity of terrell; tx. Airport (trl); numerous operators/aircraft/other airfields use same CTAF frequency 122.8; which results in highly cluttered frequency which is barely usable. Numerous 'stepped-on' calls occur. Evaluating local area radio frequencies and amount of radio traffic on 122.8 in this location; changing some if necessary; would enhance aviation safety!
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: Pilot landing TRL experiences excessive use of the CTAF 122.8 resulting in stepped on and missed communications. Reporter suggests that the frequency be evaluated and perhaps the number of airports in the area using 122.8 could be reduced.
