Narrative:
This particular aircraft had problems with the automatic-feather system not arming on takeoff. Maintenance requested that we do a high speed test to determine whether or not this was true. Ground control told us to use runway 22R, hold short of 27L, 'landing traffic.' during the abort, by the time we came to a complete stop, the aircraft was too close to the active runway (27L) and the landing aircraft was forced to go around. The problem arose when I failed to abort the high speed test when the system did not automatically arm as it was supposed to by 90 KTS. Also, we should have never accepted the hold short clearance since more runway was needed than what was available. Other contributing factors included being new in the aircraft as PIC, and also our day was long and strenuous. We were both very tired.

Title: WHILE CONDUCTING A HIGH SPEED MAINTENANCE TAXI AND ABORT TEST, ACFT INFRINGED ON THE LNDG RWY CAUSING TRAFFIC ON APCH TO EXECUTE A GO AROUND.
Narrative: THIS PARTICULAR ACFT HAD PROBS WITH THE AUTO-FEATHER SYS NOT ARMING ON TKOF. MAINT REQUESTED THAT WE DO A HIGH SPD TEST TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THIS WAS TRUE. GND CTL TOLD US TO USE RWY 22R, HOLD SHORT OF 27L, 'LNDG TFC.' DURING THE ABORT, BY THE TIME WE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE ACFT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE ACTIVE RWY (27L) AND THE LNDG ACFT WAS FORCED TO GO AROUND. THE PROB AROSE WHEN I FAILED TO ABORT THE HIGH SPD TEST WHEN THE SYS DID NOT AUTOMATICALLY ARM AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BY 90 KTS. ALSO, WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER ACCEPTED THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC SINCE MORE RWY WAS NEEDED THAN WHAT WAS AVAILABLE. OTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTORS INCLUDED BEING NEW IN THE ACFT AS PIC, AND ALSO OUR DAY WAS LONG AND STRENUOUS. WE WERE BOTH VERY TIRED.
