Narrative:
We were on a scheduled flight from fll to tcb (treasure cay bahamas (myat)). We had just leveled off in cruise at 9000', for approximately 10 minutes the master warning and fire warning annunciators illuminated. The captain and I commenced the engine shutdown checklist and secured the right engine. We then called ZMA and declared an emergency. We diverted to freeport international. Upon calling freeport we cancelled our IFR flight plan and landed visually on runway 06. There were no other extenuating circumstances. One passenger was aboard.
