Narrative:

While undergoing transition training in an small transport twin engine aircraft, inadvertently allowed a climb 800' above a newly assigned intermediate altitude. This followed some quick amendments to our clearance immediately after departure, as we climbed through moderate rime icing and turbulence, in IMC. Some confusion also arose as to which airway we were actually cleared to follow. Supplemental information from acn 133684: in IMC conditions in moderate rime ice and turbulence, inadvertently allowed aircraft to fly 800' above assigned altitude and, after proper altitude attained, flew down requested airway instead of airway assigned.

Title: CARGO CARRYING SMT WITH INFLT TRAINING BEING CONDUCTED, DEVIATES FROM ASSIGNED ALT AND COURSE.

Narrative: WHILE UNDERGOING TRANSITION TRAINING IN AN SMT TWIN ENGINE ACFT, INADVERTENTLY ALLOWED A CLIMB 800' ABOVE A NEWLY ASSIGNED INTERMEDIATE ALT. THIS FOLLOWED SOME QUICK AMENDMENTS TO OUR CLRNC IMMEDIATELY AFTER DEP, AS WE CLIMBED THROUGH MODERATE RIME ICING AND TURBULENCE, IN IMC. SOME CONFUSION ALSO AROSE AS TO WHICH AIRWAY WE WERE ACTUALLY CLRED TO FOLLOW. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 133684: IN IMC CONDITIONS IN MODERATE RIME ICE AND TURBULENCE, INADVERTENTLY ALLOWED ACFT TO FLY 800' ABOVE ASSIGNED ALT AND, AFTER PROPER ALT ATTAINED, FLEW DOWN REQUESTED AIRWAY INSTEAD OF AIRWAY ASSIGNED.
