Narrative:

WX was poor. Cleared to taxi to runway 12L via runway 31 and charlie to hold short of 12L. Started taxi, set up departure frequency, NAVAID, etc. Passenger in right seat was talking about questionable WX at destination. Distracted and preoccupied by 7.2 hours of flying that day and 3 low approachs in WX and right seat passenger. Inadvertently taxied across runway 6 before ground control noticed and cleared me to do a 180 degree turn and recross runway 6 to charlie. I feel that long hours of work, long flying hours, a 2-HR ground delay in knoxville and passenger anxious to get home and talking distracted me to the extent that I allowed this to happen. Never before and never gain. I also feel that I thought I was cleared to taxi to 12R, as that is where I was going. That runway is usually used for southbound departures,even though I read back taxi instructions to 12L.

I FEEL THAT LONG HRS OF WORK, LONG FLYING HRS, A 2-HR GND DELAY IN KNOXVILLE AND PAX ANXIOUS TO GET HOME AND TALKING DISTRACTED ME TO THE EXTENT THAT I ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN. NEVER BEFORE AND NEVER GAIN. I ALSO FEEL THAT I THOUGHT I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO 12R, AS THAT IS WHERE I WAS GOING. THAT RWY IS USUALLY USED FOR SBND DEPS,EVEN THOUGH I READ BACK TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO 12L.
