Narrative:
After normal approach and localizer capture autoplt and F/D coupled first officer flying autoplt induced sharp 30 degree bank away from localizer; maneuver to return to course manually brought aircraft to edge of localizer course on simultaneous traffic side. Conferring with all interested parties still unsure of source of failure.
