Narrative:

In preparation for departure dfw-lga, inbound crew notified our crew that first officer's ADI roll indicator would have inoperative flag appear intermittently when turning on previous flight. Maintenance personnel proceeded to perform required checks. Per MEL, dispatch into night or IMC conditions was allowed as long as there were at least 2 sources of power for first officer's ADI/roll annunciator. It was confirmed that this was the case with alternate selectors. All 3 cockpit crew members were satisfied with the situation. ADI performed perfectly from dfw-lga. After landing at lga, and reviewing logbooks, maintenance had in fact placarded ADI/roll inoperative. This was not the case. The error was not in equipment for dispatch, but how the equipment was written up in logbook. Instead of verbal confirmation, a more detailed analysis of maintenance's signoff should have also been done.
