Narrative:
While taxing out of the north port gates at ZZZ for departure; we nearly had two near collisions on the taxiway. The first one occurred as we were given instructions to taxi from the B line in the north port to runway xy via a left turn on taxiway H and cross runway xx. As we started taxing; a emb 170 taxied from the C line and turned right into our direction; requiring quick braking to avoid a collision. The second one occurred as we continued taxing per the ATC instructions; whereupon we had to do another quick stop to avoid hitting another aircraft; which was approaching us from our left on taxiway B. ATC apologized; and blamed the near collisions on the [EMB170] aircraft not following the ground controller instructions.
