Narrative:

On base leg vectors (260 degree heading) for ILS 33L at 3000' MSL. On approach frequency 133.0. First officer selected tower frequency (119.4) on second side of radio head, then mistakenly transferred to tower frequency. As localizer was approached, we made radio contact to inquire of status--thinking we were still on approach frequency. Flew through localizer, reestablished contact with approach (133.0) and vectored back for uneventful approach/landing.
