Narrative:
This situation involved air carrier X landing on savannah (sav) runway 9 followed by air carrier Y landing on runway 18. We were approximately 1/2-3/4 mi ahead of air carrier Y on approach to respective runways. Sav tower cleared us to land runway 9 and told air carrier Y to prepare to go around. We landed on speed in the touchdown zone and began reversing and braking. The tower again advised air carrier Y to prepare for a go around, then told us to expedite through the intersection of runway 18. We came off the brakes and out of reverse. The captain asked me how much runway was remaining after runway 18. I advised and we passed through the runway 18 intersection at approximately 80 KTS. Then brakes and exited C3 taxiway. As we passed through the intersection of runway 18 air carrier Y was touching down on runway 18. Many passenger saw air carrier Y touching down out the left side of the aircraft approximately 1500-2000' away. (2500' approximate distance from intersection to threshold of 18.) in my opinion sav tower should have sent us around long before air carrier Y approached the flare. Another conflict could have arisen if we had to go around for some reason and air carrier Y had elected or been sent around. Supplemental information from acn 138754: we didn't think much about it until the passenger began asking how close we had come to hitting the other jet and if that was a normal operation at sav, etc. The mechanic and the wheel chair pusher both asked about it and claimed it was the closest they had seen in 20 yrs, etc. Much discussion among the passenger later at the claim area (baggage). Next time I'll take a delay, hold, divert -- anything other than risk upsetting one passenger. No specific safety risk was involved, just an unnecessary close call from the passenger point of view.

Title: PASSENGER UPSET WITH ACFT LNDG ON CONVERGING RWY AS ANOTHER LNDG ACR PASSES THROUGH THE INTERSECTION.
Narrative: THIS SITUATION INVOLVED ACR X LNDG ON SAVANNAH (SAV) RWY 9 FOLLOWED BY ACR Y LNDG ON RWY 18. WE WERE APPROX 1/2-3/4 MI AHEAD OF ACR Y ON APCH TO RESPECTIVE RWYS. ANOTHER CONFLICT COULD HAVE ARISEN IF WE HAD TO GO AROUND FOR SOME REASON AND ACR Y HAD ELECTED OR BEEN SENT AROUND. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 138754: WE DIDN'T THINK MUCH ABOUT IT UNTIL THE PAX BEGAN ASKING HOW CLOSE WE HAD COME TO HITTING THE OTHER JET AND IF THAT WAS A NORMAL OPERATION AT SAV, ETC. THE MECHANIC AND THE WHEEL CHAIR PUSHER BOTH ASKED ABOUT IT AND CLAIMED IT WAS THE CLOSEST THEY HAD SEEN IN 20 YRS, ETC. MUCH DISCUSSION AMONG THE PAX LATER AT THE CLAIM AREA (BAGGAGE).
