Narrative:
Tower asked departure request. I requested a right turn (departing northwest runway). Tower asked if I was familiar with a certain departure procedure. I replied negative. On takeoff run I was advised to turn right and keep san mateo bridge 2 mi off wing. Part of transmission was garbled I was not sure of clearance. Controller at one time said right wing and connected himself or vice versa. Twice I requested clarification west/O response. Last only response was frequency change approved. At that point I saw hayward airport 10:00 O'clock and 3 mi. I believe my altitude at that point was 2900'. Realizing I was in the arsa I turned right about 45 degree and my initial reaction was to climb above the arsa. At 3000' I believe I penetrated the floor of the TCA at this point. When the controller gave me a departure procedure, (I believe it is called bayview departure) I mentally put aside my plan for departing the area. I mistakenly thought the procedure would keep me clear of the TCA and arsa. In the future, I would request the departure procedure prior to the takeoff run in order to review it prior to being airborne.

Title: SMA PLT DEPARTING SQL DOES NOT UNDERSTAND DEP INSTRUCTIONS, PENETRATES HWD ATA, THEN SFO TCA.
Narrative: TWR ASKED DEP REQUEST. I REQUESTED A R TURN (DEPARTING NW RWY). TWR ASKED IF I WAS FAMILIAR WITH A CERTAIN DEP PROC. I REPLIED NEGATIVE. ON TKOF RUN I WAS ADVISED TO TURN R AND KEEP SAN MATEO BRIDGE 2 MI OFF WING. PART OF XMISSION WAS GARBLED I WAS NOT SURE OF CLRNC. CTLR AT ONE TIME SAID R WING AND CONNECTED HIMSELF OR VICE VERSA. TWICE I REQUESTED CLARIFICATION W/O RESPONSE. LAST ONLY RESPONSE WAS FREQ CHANGE APPROVED. AT THAT POINT I SAW HAYWARD ARPT 10:00 O'CLOCK AND 3 MI. I BELIEVE MY ALT AT THAT POINT WAS 2900'. REALIZING I WAS IN THE ARSA I TURNED R ABOUT 45 DEG AND MY INITIAL REACTION WAS TO CLB ABOVE THE ARSA. AT 3000' I BELIEVE I PENETRATED THE FLOOR OF THE TCA AT THIS POINT. WHEN THE CTLR GAVE ME A DEP PROC, (I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED BAYVIEW DEP) I MENTALLY PUT ASIDE MY PLAN FOR DEPARTING THE AREA. I MISTAKENLY THOUGHT THE PROC WOULD KEEP ME CLR OF THE TCA AND ARSA. IN THE FUTURE, I WOULD REQUEST THE DEP PROC PRIOR TO THE TKOF RUN IN ORDER TO REVIEW IT PRIOR TO BEING AIRBORNE.
