Narrative:

I (captain) copied clearance on through flight: 'cleared to sav raleigh 4 departure as filed, maintain X, squawk Y.' I read back the clearance. On climb out controller issued: 'maintain X heading, resume (unclear) 4 departure.' I assumed that I heard raleigh 4 departure with abc transition and turned to abc VOR. The controller issued me the turn back to my original heading and gave me vectors to def VOR. I then realized he gave a different SID, the tarr heel 4, not raleigh 4 departure. I am not aware of any conflict.
