Narrative:
We were [in] an A319 parked on Z1 facing north. I heard ramp instructing [another air carrier's A321] tow team to park on spot 4. However; when I later looked out the window they were pushing [the] A321 backwards into spot 2. From my perspective; there wasn't enough wingtip clearance. (His right wingtip looked 'inside' of my left wingtip). There were no wing walkers; only a pickup; however; he was on the other side of the [A321]. They kept pushing the plane back until I feared a possible impact and fuel leak. The [A321 pushback] team was talking to ramp about where they were supposed to be; so I had to jump on the frequency and said; '[other air carrier]; stop; stop; stop.' they did stop and in a continued discussion with ramp; they pulled away.is there sufficient clearance between airbuses parked side-by-side (not staggered)? To me it looked like a [potential] collision. I didn't know so I spoke up. [It might be a good idea to] have the distance measured.
