Narrative:
We were dispatching [an air carrier] flight; the ramp tower advised to push aircraft tail north; and gave clearance to push. During the push back we were unable to comply with a tail north push due to the fact that dfw terminal ramp tower gave clearance to aircraft Y to continue their taxi to their respective gate. They were traveling at a high rate of speed during their taxi; which resulted in [our] ramp crew [having] to abort push tail to the north. This could have been a major accident if [our] ramp crew [had] not [been] aware of their surroundings.
