Narrative:
Seat belt sign turned on at 28;000 feet prior to descent into den. Inquired from all ATC facilities about ride and turbulence reports. All reports from ATC were of smooth rides or only occasional light chop. Den approach control reported just light chop. Approach advised us we could cancel speed restrictions on published arrival but we elected to stay at a slower; more conservative speed. Descent smooth. At 16;500 feet sudden unexpected moderate jolt of 2 seconds duration. Aircraft control maintained; a moment later at 14;500 feet; another unexpected; less moderate; jolt. Called and assessed flight attendants. Purser reported that he hit the ceiling as did one flight attendant in the aft cabin. Advised ATC of turbulence and now of two injured flight attendants aboard. Called operations airborne and advised of two injured flight attendants and requested paramedics meet the flight at gate. Followed all sops and fom guidance.
