Narrative:
On the drmmm 1 arrival; approximately over rosaa intersection ATC queried our speed. We were at 290 IAS and [were] told the restriction was 280 IAS. We noted a restriction at luwis of 280 IAS. The controller communicated the overall restriction on the chart in the upper right-hand corner. On this STAR; the note of an overall speed restriction is in the upper right- hand corner next to the arrival portion for landing east (almost embedded in it). We were landing west.I would recommend overall speed restrictions on stars be put in bold and red as on sids or placed next to the first point on the STAR to be easily visible. Remind crews that restrictions may not be readably visible and to ensure a complete and thorough scan of the chart.
