Narrative:
Flaps 5 degrees were selected for departure when beginning to taxi. Before takeoff checklist was completed and flaps and led's were observed at 5 degrees with 'left.east. Flap ext' green light on during checklist. Upon start of takeoff roll, as power was advanced, the takeoff confign warning horn sounded. Takeoff was rejected well below 60 KTS. While taxiing off the runway the led's were visually observed to be extended, however the left.east. Flap ext green light was out and the overhead left.east. Devices annunciator was completely blank (although all lights tested). Upon return to the gate, the left.east. Flap position indicator circuit breaker was observed to be popped (although, while taxiing back to gate, all the flight control and hydraulic circuit breaker's were checked and seemed to be in). Maintenance changed control box associated with this system and aircraft was released for flight.

Title: ACR MLG TKOF ABORT WHEN TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED AS TKOF THRUST WAS APPLIED.
Narrative: FLAPS 5 DEGS WERE SELECTED FOR DEP WHEN BEGINNING TO TAXI. BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED AND FLAPS AND LED'S WERE OBSERVED AT 5 DEGS WITH 'L.E. FLAP EXT' GREEN LIGHT ON DURING CHKLIST. UPON START OF TKOF ROLL, AS PWR WAS ADVANCED, THE TKOF CONFIGN WARNING HORN SOUNDED. TKOF WAS REJECTED WELL BELOW 60 KTS. WHILE TAXIING OFF THE RWY THE LED'S WERE VISUALLY OBSERVED TO BE EXTENDED, HOWEVER THE L.E. FLAP EXT GREEN LIGHT WAS OUT AND THE OVERHEAD L.E. DEVICES ANNUNCIATOR WAS COMPLETELY BLANK (ALTHOUGH ALL LIGHTS TESTED). UPON RETURN TO THE GATE, THE L.E. FLAP POS INDICATOR CB WAS OBSERVED TO BE POPPED (ALTHOUGH, WHILE TAXIING BACK TO GATE, ALL THE FLT CTL AND HYD CB'S WERE CHKED AND SEEMED TO BE IN). MAINT CHANGED CTL BOX ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYS AND ACFT WAS RELEASED FOR FLT.
