Narrative:

The problem arose after we landed at stl on runway 12L and turned off at taxiway november. At this point I contacted ground control and they cleared us across runway 12R and taxi to the ramp. Since we had stopped on the taxiway, I wanted to make sure the passenger did not unbuckle their seat belts and stand up. I inadvertently began to brief the passenger while crossing runway 12R. The captain on the flight signaled me to stop the briefing. At that point I stopped the briefing immediately. I then finished the briefing after crossing the runway. I believe one of the contributing factors to my mistake was my concern that the passenger may unbuckle and stand up while we taxied into the ramp area. Other factors I feel is the fact I have only worked for a part 135 operator for 2 1/2 weeks. I feel inexperience with part 135 operations, and eagerness to make sure all of my duties were fulfilled, contributed to my mistake. Afterward the captain on the flight reprimanded and counseled me on the importance of not briefing passenger while crossing a runway. I have learned from my mistake and I will not make the same mistake twice. I would like to make it clear that we were cleared to cross the runway. The problem was starting a passenger briefing while starting to cross a runway.

Title: COMMUTER FO STARTED PASSENGER ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE ACFT HAD CROSSED A PARALLEL RWY.

Narrative: THE PROB AROSE AFTER WE LANDED AT STL ON RWY 12L AND TURNED OFF AT TXWY NOVEMBER. AT THIS POINT I CONTACTED GND CTL AND THEY CLRED US ACROSS RWY 12R AND TAXI TO THE RAMP. SINCE WE HAD STOPPED ON THE TXWY, I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE PAX DID NOT UNBUCKLE THEIR SEAT BELTS AND STAND UP. I INADVERTENTLY BEGAN TO BRIEF THE PAX WHILE XING RWY 12R. THE CAPT ON THE FLT SIGNALED ME TO STOP THE BRIEFING. AT THAT POINT I STOPPED THE BRIEFING IMMEDIATELY. I THEN FINISHED THE BRIEFING AFTER XING THE RWY. I BELIEVE ONE OF THE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO MY MISTAKE WAS MY CONCERN THAT THE PAX MAY UNBUCKLE AND STAND UP WHILE WE TAXIED INTO THE RAMP AREA. OTHER FACTORS I FEEL IS THE FACT I HAVE ONLY WORKED FOR A PART 135 OPERATOR FOR 2 1/2 WKS. I FEEL INEXPERIENCE WITH PART 135 OPS, AND EAGERNESS TO MAKE SURE ALL OF MY DUTIES WERE FULFILLED, CONTRIBUTED TO MY MISTAKE. AFTERWARD THE CAPT ON THE FLT REPRIMANDED AND COUNSELED ME ON THE IMPORTANCE OF NOT BRIEFING PAX WHILE XING A RWY. I HAVE LEARNED FROM MY MISTAKE AND I WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS THE RWY. THE PROB WAS STARTING A PAX BRIEFING WHILE STARTING TO CROSS A RWY.
