Narrative:
I was an OJT instructor watching a trainee and focusing on another potential conflict developing and did not hear the trainee clear aircraft X for the approach. I spoke to the trainee about the developing situation and it caused both of us to overlook the antenna and the minimum vectoring altitude (MVA) in that area that the aircraft was descending in.be more cognizant of the entire situation and save teaching moments until after all situations are remedied.
