Narrative:
In the process of a normal landing in light wind; VFR conditions I simply failed to select gear down. I did not maintain a 'sterile cockpit'; and believe this distraction contributed. I did have my checklist present; but obviously did not utilize it properly. This could have been avoided by being more precise and deliberate.
