Narrative:

Controller said to leave one two thousand and go to one one thousand, I repeated this as one zero thousand. He repeated it again and so did I. I report one zero thousand after level. He ask my understanding about the assigned level and I said one zero thousand. He said it was one one thousand but to stay at one zero thousand. He was nice about it and so was I. Only other talk was the handoff to another frequency.

Title: ALT DEVIATION OCCURS AFTER PLT OF SMA DOES NOT INTERP CLRNC ALT AS GIVEN BY ARTCC CTLR. TWO CLRNCS AND READBACKS WERE GIVEN.

Narrative: CTLR SAID TO LEAVE ONE TWO THOUSAND AND GO TO ONE ONE THOUSAND, I REPEATED THIS AS ONE ZERO THOUSAND. HE REPEATED IT AGAIN AND SO DID I. I RPT ONE ZERO THOUSAND AFTER LEVEL. HE ASK MY UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE ASSIGNED LEVEL AND I SAID ONE ZERO THOUSAND. HE SAID IT WAS ONE ONE THOUSAND BUT TO STAY AT ONE ZERO THOUSAND. HE WAS NICE ABOUT IT AND SO WAS I. ONLY OTHER TALK WAS THE HDOF TO ANOTHER FREQ.
