Narrative:
Lost #2 hydraulic system due to a loss of all hydraulic fluid after takeoff. We ran the QRH; coordinated with dispatch and decided to return. Overweight landing was uneventful. Since we lost steering capability we stopped on the runway and maintenance towed the aircraft to the gate. A write up was made for the hydraulic failure and the overweight landing.
