Narrative:
Flight plan from reid hillview to uki via oakland. Low ceilings and threatening rain. Oak was closed to VFR (did not inquire about SVFR, so decided to land hayward for WX improvement. Tower gave instructions for right downwind land runway 28R. On base leg lost sight of the runways and in final I was lined up on runway 28L. Called tower and told them landing on runway 28L, received no reply so landed normally on runway 28L. Contributing factors. Runway 28R is a much shorter runway and possibly reason I lost sight of it on base. Also my mind might have transposed right and left runways due to unusual right downwind entry. (Instead of left downwind, I might have put left runway in my mind). Also when communicating with oak center I requested route to west of oak airport (to the left of airport) but request was denied. Could be another 'left factor' in my mind.
