Narrative:
The aircraft developed a significant vibration at vr (140 KTS). Tulsa tower confirmed that a tire had blown (considerable debris on runway). All aircraft systems were normal and the decision was made to continue to atl to utilize fuel burnoff for lower landing speed (takeoff weight 103000#), longer runway available, excellent emergency facs, and maintenance specialists. The situation was coordinated with atl flight control, maintenance and ATC. Emergency equipment was requested. A fly-by was made in atl to confirm which tire had failed (inboard left main), followed by a missed approach to a normal pattern and landing. The cabin was prepared for an emergency landing. The aircraft was landed west/O incident and taxied clear of runway 27R. The aircraft was inspected by maintenance and cleared to taxi to the gate. All passenger were deplaned normally. There were no injuries. The first officer and cabin crew offered outstanding assistance in handling this abnormal situation. (There was no problem with directional control on rollout, but the aircraft did vibrate severely.)

Title: ACR MLG BLOWS A TIRE ON TKOF AND CONTINUES TO DESTINATION FOR A FLY-BY AND EMERGENCY LNDG.
Narrative: THE ACFT DEVELOPED A SIGNIFICANT VIBRATION AT VR (140 KTS). TULSA TWR CONFIRMED THAT A TIRE HAD BLOWN (CONSIDERABLE DEBRIS ON RWY). ALL ACFT SYSTEMS WERE NORMAL AND THE DECISION WAS MADE TO CONTINUE TO ATL TO UTILIZE FUEL BURNOFF FOR LOWER LNDG SPD (TKOF WT 103000#), LONGER RWY AVAILABLE, EXCELLENT EMER FACS, AND MAINT SPECIALISTS. THE SITUATION WAS COORDINATED WITH ATL FLT CTL, MAINT AND ATC. EMER EQUIP WAS REQUESTED. A FLY-BY WAS MADE IN ATL TO CONFIRM WHICH TIRE HAD FAILED (INBOARD LEFT MAIN), FOLLOWED BY A MISSED APCH TO A NORMAL PATTERN AND LNDG. THE CABIN WAS PREPARED FOR AN EMER LNDG. THE ACFT WAS LANDED W/O INCIDENT AND TAXIED CLR OF RWY 27R. THE ACFT WAS INSPECTED BY MAINT AND CLRED TO TAXI TO THE GATE. ALL PAX WERE DEPLANED NORMALLY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
