Narrative:
On final approach into adams field little rock, ar, we initially lined-up on the wrong runway. We were cleared for the ILS to runway 22 but due to the sharp heading given to intercept final, and also the fact that the new runway under construction (parallel to runway 22) was easier to see than runway 22, we lined-up for the runway under construction. The tower advised that we looked as if we were heading toward the wrong runway, realizing our mistake we corrected to runway 22 and landed with no further incident. The approach plate should have a caution concerning this potential problem so other crews won't make this embarrassing mistake.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG ALIGNED WITH WRONG PARALLEL RWY AT LIT, AR.
Narrative: ON FINAL APCH INTO ADAMS FIELD LITTLE ROCK, AR, WE INITIALLY LINED-UP ON THE WRONG RWY. WE WERE CLRED FOR THE ILS TO RWY 22 BUT DUE TO THE SHARP HDG GIVEN TO INTERCEPT FINAL, AND ALSO THE FACT THAT THE NEW RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION (PARALLEL TO RWY 22) WAS EASIER TO SEE THAN RWY 22, WE LINED-UP FOR THE RWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THE TWR ADVISED THAT WE LOOKED AS IF WE WERE HDG TOWARD THE WRONG RWY, REALIZING OUR MISTAKE WE CORRECTED TO RWY 22 AND LANDED WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT. THE APCH PLATE SHOULD HAVE A CAUTION CONCERNING THIS POTENTIAL PROB SO OTHER CREWS WON'T MAKE THIS EMBARRASSING MISTAKE.
