Narrative:

On takeoff roll approximately 70-75 KTS, a master caution light was observed for flight controls. The yaw damper had kicked off line. I decided to abort the takeoff as I had a slower commuter plane just taking off in front of us, which due to the distraction in the cockpit I lost sight of. Also we had an aircraft approximately 3 mi on final approach. Under the circumstances I felt it best to stop and clear the runway. The automatic rejected takeoff braking system was used and consideration for brake cooling was applied before continuing the flight. I did not return to the gate as no mechanical problem's occurred. The flight was completed without further incident.
