Narrative:
Small transport was climbing to 12000' off dfw on another controller's frequency in my airspace with my approval. Light transport was in level flight in my airspace on another controller's frequency to which I had changed him. The 2 aircraft passed 1 NM horizontal, 200' vertical. Both aircraft saw the other when approximately 2 NM apart. Small transport reported making a turn and descending. I thought that the other 2 controllers involved had established visibility sep, therefore I made no report at the time. The first knowledge that I had that an error had occurred was on 6/xx/90, and confirmed on 6/xy/90.

Title: LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION OCCURRED BETWEEN A CLIMBING OUTBOUND ACFT AND INBOUND ACFT LEVEL AT 5000'.
Narrative: SMT WAS CLBING TO 12000' OFF DFW ON ANOTHER CTLR'S FREQ IN MY AIRSPACE WITH MY APPROVAL. LTT WAS IN LEVEL FLT IN MY AIRSPACE ON ANOTHER CTLR'S FREQ TO WHICH I HAD CHANGED HIM. THE 2 ACFT PASSED 1 NM HORIZ, 200' VERT. BOTH ACFT SAW THE OTHER WHEN APPROX 2 NM APART. SMT RPTED MAKING A TURN AND DSNDING. I THOUGHT THAT THE OTHER 2 CTLRS INVOLVED HAD ESTABLISHED VIS SEP, THEREFORE I MADE NO RPT AT THE TIME.
