Narrative:

Performed a normal landing in boston with a medium large transport. After a soft T/D the thrust reversers failed to deploy. Tower advised us that smoke was coming from main tires. We exited runway and came to a stop. There was no apparent directional control problem so we elected to clear the highspd taxiway and taxied onto runway 22, which was not active at the time. Tower advised us that the smoke had stopped and fire equipment was on the way. We ended up deplaning the passengers and F/as on runway 22 and busing them to the gate. Maintenance then towed the aircraft to the gate. It would appear that the anti-skid failed on the main tires #2 and #4 and caused them to blow. The aft F/a stated that she heard 2 loud pops after T/D. That was probably when I applied the brakes. Aircraft had previous write up in logbook stating that 1 tire blew on landing in charlotte, nc, and the thrust reversers did not work on landing. I believe this airplane needs to have a good looksee by maintenance to see where the problem is. Runway was dry and airport was VFR.

Title: ACR MLG BLEW TWO TIRES LNDG AT BOS.

Narrative: PERFORMED A NORMAL LNDG IN BOSTON WITH A MLG. AFTER A SOFT T/D THE THRUST REVERSERS FAILED TO DEPLOY. TWR ADVISED US THAT SMOKE WAS COMING FROM MAIN TIRES. WE EXITED RWY AND CAME TO A STOP. THERE WAS NO APPARENT DIRECTIONAL CTL PROB SO WE ELECTED TO CLR THE HIGHSPD TXWY AND TAXIED ONTO RWY 22, WHICH WAS NOT ACTIVE AT THE TIME. TWR ADVISED US THAT THE SMOKE HAD STOPPED AND FIRE EQUIP WAS ON THE WAY. WE ENDED UP DEPLANING THE PAXS AND F/AS ON RWY 22 AND BUSING THEM TO THE GATE. MAINT THEN TOWED THE ACFT TO THE GATE. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE ANTI-SKID FAILED ON THE MAIN TIRES #2 AND #4 AND CAUSED THEM TO BLOW. THE AFT F/A STATED THAT SHE HEARD 2 LOUD POPS AFTER T/D. THAT WAS PROBABLY WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES. ACFT HAD PREVIOUS WRITE UP IN LOGBOOK STATING THAT 1 TIRE BLEW ON LNDG IN CHARLOTTE, NC, AND THE THRUST REVERSERS DID NOT WORK ON LNDG. I BELIEVE THIS AIRPLANE NEEDS TO HAVE A GOOD LOOKSEE BY MAINT TO SEE WHERE THE PROB IS. RWY WAS DRY AND ARPT WAS VFR.
