Narrative:
Shortly after level off at FL340 the ECAM indicated an engine fire on the number one engine. We followed the ECAM which lead us to secure the number one engine and discharge fire extinguishing agent one. After discharging agent one all indications of a fire were out. We determined that kday was the nearest suitable airport. We notified ATC. Landed uneventfully in kday. Fire and rescue personnel saw no signs of fire. Once clear we taxied to the ramp.
