Narrative:
On takeoff right after gear retraction; lost all hydraulic quantity in 'a' system due to broken hydraulic line. Accomplished all checklist procedures and landed normally about 45 mins after takeoff. Nose gear steering worked during taxi in due to some fluid remaining in reservoir. Emergency declared. Normal parking and shutdown.

Title: B737-300 LOST ALL FLUID IN THE 'A' HYD SYSTEM. AN EMER WAS DECLARED; ALL CHECKLISTS WERE ACCOMPLISHED; AND FLT RETURNED FOR EMER LNDG.
