Narrative:
Upon departure first officer (first officer) attempted to retract gear. Tower approved level off at 4000 ft; and sent us to departure frequency. We proceeded to use the gear disagree QRH. The landing gear lever was in the up position with all red and green landing gear indicator lights illuminated. As directed by the QRH; we opened and closed the manual gear extension door. We recycled the landing gear lever down then up. All landing gear indicator lights extinguished; and the landing gear lever was placed in the off position. We continued to [destination] and landed uneventfully; where we were quickly met and debriefed by maintenance personnel.
