Narrative:
Flight pushed off the gate. Approximately 5 mins later; the ramp lead called to advise me that he exceeded the max bag limit for pit 4. He advised me that the information took in the [system]; but he wanted to let me know. At that time; I looked at the flight and not only did he exceed the limit by 59 bags; he came very close to going tail heavy. I advised him that he can't be calling us after a flight pushes back to let us know this information and hope that everything is all right. Had he called earlier; I would have revised the loading.
