Narrative:

After switching to approach; we were given a 135 heading vector and descent to 4;100 feet for vectors to the ILS. While level at 4;100 feet; we got the 2;500 automated call followed by a GPWS terrain pull up. The captain was pilot flying. He performed the CFIT maneuver. After the alert went away we told ATC we climbed due to a GPWS warning. They said 4;100 feet was their MVA in that area. We then were cleared again to 4;100 feet and performed the approach.
