Narrative:
While performing a landing on runway 3L; a jet was holding short of 3R; facing 3R with his jet wash directed towards 3L. As I passed this jet aircraft and the threshold of 3L; the tower controller advised the jet 'clear to takeoff.' the jet powered up to move onto 3R.at this time; I was behind the jet at 60-65 kts. As I begin to flare; my aircraft began to lift and push right. In a fraction of a second I found myself in a 60 degree bank and being pushed off the runway from the jet blast. With the assistance of my instructor; I was able to prevent my left wingtip from striking the ground and prevent the plane from executing a complete roll to inverted. I was able; to recover and land the plane without incident.upon completion of taxi to the ramp I requested the phone number of the tower to discuss how they almost caused a major crash. I reported the incident to the tower supervisor [who] advised me that 'this seldom happens.' I advised 'that's wonderful; but even once is too much when lives are on the line.'I am creating this report in an attempt to ensure towers are properly trained and understand that the jet wash from a jet can easily kill a small prop plane flying low and slow.hopefully this report will help prevent this from happening again.
