Narrative:
We were on a flight from tpa-tlh. We taxied out for departure. All indications were normal. We were cleared for takeoff. Upon advancing the throttles, the engine #1 tgt overtemped. Light and horn came on. We rejected takeoff and accomplished appropriate procedures. We returned to the gate where the problem was written up. Maintenance inspected the engine and found fault with the top temperature controller. The unit was placed on MEL and we were released. We taxied out with normal indications. However, on takeoff we got the tgt warning. After rejecting and accomplishing appropriate procedures were returned to the gate and wrote up the item once again.
