Narrative:
We were executing the ILS 4R approach to ewr. Ceiling was reported to be between 300 and 400 ft and the RVR in excess of 5000. Passing through approximately 500 ft; approach control gave us a low altitude warning. We executed a missed approach. On climb out ATC reported that the ILS to 4R had failed. A subsequent ILS to 4L was successfully accomplished.

Title: B737 flight crew reported executing a missed approach at EWR after ATC issued a low altitude warning and advised the ILS had failed.
