Narrative:
Descending into dal. Approach said maintain 4;000 ft and 230 knots. Shortly thereafter approach told us to descend to 3;000 ft. This put us below class B airspace. We reduced our speed to 200 knots. A couple of minutes later the controller questioned our speed. I told him 200 and why. The controller informed us that he assigned 230 knots. He vectored us behind another aircraft. Controller can't assign more than 200 knots below class B airspace.
