Narrative:
Anticipated pleasure flight to osh from plymouth-canton, mi, mettetal airport. Prior to departure, weight and balance performed and calculated to be within gross weight upon removal of 10 gals of fuel. 5 gals removed from gascolator. Additional 5 gals flown off aircraft prior to departure. Runway 36 utilized as winds were 290 degrees at 4 KTS. Utilized 10 degree flaps. During takeoff roll, aircraft did not appear to accelerate sufficiently to allow for obstacle clearance. Decision was made to abort takeoff. Actual stop of aircraft not completed within confines of airport.

Title: PLT OF SMA PERCEIVES ACFT TO LACK NECESSARY PERFORMANCE FOR TKOF AND ABORTS. ACFT RUNES OFF THE END OF THE RWY. PLT HAD PREVIOUSLY DRAINED TANS AND BURNED FUEL TO BRING ACFT WITHIN PROPER WEIGHT AND BALANCE LIMITS.
Narrative: ANTICIPATED PLEASURE FLT TO OSH FROM PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI, METTETAL ARPT. PRIOR TO DEP, WT AND BAL PERFORMED AND CALCULATED TO BE WITHIN GROSS WT UPON REMOVAL OF 10 GALS OF FUEL. 5 GALS REMOVED FROM GASCOLATOR. ADDITIONAL 5 GALS FLOWN OFF ACFT PRIOR TO DEP. RWY 36 UTILIZED AS WINDS WERE 290 DEGS AT 4 KTS. UTILIZED 10 DEG FLAPS. DURING TKOF ROLL, ACFT DID NOT APPEAR TO ACCELERATE SUFFICIENTLY TO ALLOW FOR OBSTACLE CLRNC. DECISION WAS MADE TO ABORT TKOF. ACTUAL STOP OF ACFT NOT COMPLETED WITHIN CONFINES OF ARPT.
