Narrative:

Small aircraft X landed runway 31 and had passed the first taxiway to turn off to the ramp. He was instructed to turn onto the next taxiway and taxi to parking. Instead he turned onto a crossing runway and back taxied on runway 34. This action delayed the departure of another aircraft off of runway 34. Small aircraft X stated he was sorry. Both txwys and runways are clearly marked. A pilot of a twin engine small aircraft should be able to tell the difference between a runway and taxiway in broad daylight.
