Narrative:
During taxi to runway 15 [at det]; the pilot flying crossed the hold short line. I didn't notice that he was crossing the line until after the nose wheel was already across. Tower was informed immediately; and the tower instructed us to hold for departure clearance at our present position. No further action was required. The hold position sign for runway 15 at det is set back in an uncommon position relative to the taxiways. Suggestions: heighten awareness of hold short sign with flashing lights or additional signage.

Title: Air Taxi flight crew reported a runway incursion and attributed this incursion to the uncommon location of the Runway 15 hold short sign.
Narrative: During taxi to runway 15 [at DET]; the pilot flying crossed the hold short line. I didn't notice that he was crossing the line until after the nose wheel was already across.
